Winlator - Play Windows Games on Your Android
Winulator is an app that lets you run Windows programs and games on your Android devices, focusing on late 90's old DirectX-based titles. It's also compatible with ARM-based phones, although support for this is a bit spotty (for example, it doesn't work on current Snapdragon flagship chips).
The app is basically a bundled solution that brings together two powerful tools, Box and Wine, which are designed to let x86 applications run on non-Windows systems. The combination gives you a streamlined process, making it easy to get up and running with PC games on your Android device, reports Android Authority.
In our tests, Winulator performed pretty well for most of the games we tried. Deus Ex ran with a fairly stable frame rate, Hitman 2 offered a variable but playable frame rate, and Undertale mostly stayed out of slideshow territory. Far Cry 2 booted up, though the intro was a little slow. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time also worked, though a few graphical glitches interrupted gameplay.
With a simple file copy, you can install your favorite PC games in Winulator and enjoy lag-free performance and a familiar Windows experience. You can even tailor the parameters of the emulator to suit your needs before diving into a gaming session. For example, you can adjust screen resolution or fine-tune drivers to maximize the potential of your mobile setup. You can even use your Windows apps offline, which is a real boon for those with poor data plans.
